St. Paul’s Church After School Care Program

We are hiring for the following positions starting Fall 2025:

Program Director

Hours:         20 hours/week from 2 p.m to 6 p.m. daily, Monday to Friday

Salary:        $25-$35/hr (based on qualifications and experience)

Start date:   September 2025


Qualifications

  • Must have team leadership and management experience

  • Must have good communication and collaboration skills, be organized, creative and energetic, and have a passion for working with children 

  • Early Childhood Education qualifications or previous experience at a childcare facility are an asset, but not required. 

  • Must have (or be willing to obtain) a First Aid & CPR course certificate, a Criminal Record Check, a vulnerable sector check and a Social Development Check 

Essential Functions

  • Manage child and staff files, and other program files to meet inspection standards.

  • Handle inquiries, answer emails, manage enrolments, and provide billing paperwork to the office.

  • Create a board report for each meeting of the Board of Directors (approximately three times a year).

  • Manage staff, scheduling, and arrange coverage for sick days.

  • Delegate cleaning responsibilities.

  • Maintain and manage toy inventory within the assigned budget.

  • Facilitate regular staff meetings.

  • Work with Social Development if outside support is needed for a child.

  • Work with the quality assurance monitor and inspectors as needed.

  • Foster good relationships with parents and staff.

  • Spend time daily in both child care spaces to build relationships with staff and children.

  • Communicate effectively with parents and other caregivers on an ongoing basis

Inclusive Support Worker

Length of Contract: End of school year 2026 

Hours:         25 hours/week from 1-6 pm daily

Salary:        $18-$26/hr (based on qualifications and experience)

Start date:   September 2025


Qualifications

  • Must have good communication and collaboration skills, be organized, creative and energetic, and have a passion for working with children with individual needs

  • Early Childhood Education qualifications or previous experience at a child care facility are an asset

  • Experience with children with inclusive needs an asset  

  • Must have (or be willing to obtain) a First Aid & CPR course certificate, a Criminal Record Check, a vulnerable sector check and a Social Development check

Essential Functions

  • Be familiar with Early Learning and Childcare Centre licensing requirements, policies, and emergency procedures

  • Be familiar with the Inclusive Support Program Guidelines and complete all of the required inclusive documentation

  • Set clear guidelines, monitor the children closely, and maintain an environment that protects their health, safety and well-being

  • Spend approximately one hour outside at Rothesay Commons daily (weather permitting)

  • Communicate effectively with parents and other caregivers on an ongoing basis

  • Attend weekly staff meetings and work closely with all team members
