St. Paul’s Church After School Care Program
We are hiring for the following positions starting Fall 2025:
After School Program Director
Hours: 20 hours/week
Salary & Benefits:
Salary range: $25-$35/hour based on qualifications and experience (negotiated)
Eligibility for medical, dental, and vision coverage through the Diocese of Fredericton's plan, with the cost shared 50/50 with the employer.
The Role:
The Program Director is accountable to the Rector of the Parish of Rothesay and is responsible for managing all program employees and volunteers. The director is not usually expected to be "in ratio" (directly supervising the children), but may be called upon to step in when needed.
Responsibilities include:
Administration: Managing child, staff, and program files to meet inspection standards; handling inquiries, emails, and enrollments; creating newsletters and board reports; and ensuring staff complete necessary documents and forms.
Management: Being familiar with licensing requirements, policies, and emergency procedures; managing staff schedules; delegating cleaning responsibilities; and maintaining toy inventory. The director also facilitates a weekly staff meeting, works with outside support services like Social Development, and fosters good relationships with parents and staff.
Child Care: Spending time in both child care spaces to build relationships with staff and children and working with staff to plan activities.
Qualifications:
You must provide a current Police Records Check with a vulnerable sector check and an SD check as a condition of employment.
You must review the Diocese of Fredericton's Safe Church Policy and complete the online learning component within the first month of employment.

After School Program Educator
Hours: 24 hours/week from 1:30 to 5:30 daily
Salary: $18-$26/hr (based on qualifications and experience)
Start date: ASAP
Qualifications
Must have good communication and collaboration skills, be organized, creative and energetic, and have a passion for working with children
Early Childhood Education qualifications or previous experience at a child care facility are an asset
Must have (or be willing to obtain) a First Aid & CPR course certificate, a Criminal Record Check, a vulnerable sector check and a Social Development check
Essential Functions
Be familiar with Early Learning and Childcare Centre licensing requirements, policies, and emergency procedures
Plan and organise daily activities for the children - engage children in activities by planning interesting themes, preparing literacy centres, setting out invitations, creating science and mathematics centres, creating activities to develop physical skills, and preparing crafts etc…
Set clear guidelines, monitor the children closely, and maintain an environment that protects their health, safety and well-being
Spend approximately one hour outside at Rothesay Commons daily (weather permitting)
Attend weekly staff meetings
Complete the following documentation - attendance logs, cleaning logs, incident reports, planning documents, and several other forms weekly
Ensure the classroom is organised and kept clean and sanitary
Communicate effectively with parents and other caregivers on an ongoing basis

Inclusive Support Worker
Length of Contract: End of school year 2026
Hours: 25 hours/week from 1-6 pm daily
Salary: $18-$26/hr (based on qualifications and experience)
Start date: September 2025
Qualifications
