Groups & Committees

St. Paul's Servers

This group assists in the worship of the church by carrying the Cross, lighting the candles and presenting bread and wine. The group is open to any person who is confirmed. Members serve about one Sunday each month. For more information please contact Robert Taylor at 847-7331.

Lay Readers

The Lay readers of the Parish quietly and faithfully attend to their duties, proclaiming the scriptures, offering prayers and serving the sacraments.

Sidespersons

A team regularly scheduled or reserve sidespersons act as greeters on Sunday, collect offerings, and generally oversee the services.

Altar Guild

The altar guild has the responsibility of preparing the Altar for all regular services as well as baptisms, weddings and funerals. It is also responsible for the care of the brass, communion silver, linens, altar and pulpit hangings.

St. Paul's Vestry

The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation; to support the church's mission by word and deed to ensure effective organization and planning, and to manage resources and finances.

Finance Committee

This committee monitors monthly financial statements throughout the year and propose any corrective actions if needed.

Mission Within the Parish

This committee is made up of representatives of the different neighbourhoods of the Parish. They meet once a month to organize and oversee activities in educational, spiritual and fellowship aspects of parish life.

Mission Beyond the Parish

 The Mission Beyond the Parish supports and co-ordinates many of the parish’s outreach projects. Its mandate is to identify mission opportunities and to support those most in need. 

Property Committee

This committee identifies capital needs, carries out ongoing maintenance of properties, evaluates contractors' estimates and selects the best candidate, oversees work, and maintains all buildings

Communications

This group manages and coordinates all the communications of the parish including print, website, social media, etc.

Safe Church

The purpose of the Safe Church Committee is to promote the mission of the church by providing a safe and effective working, learning and spiritual environment for everyone..
