Endowment Fund

The St. Paul's Endowment Fund was established in 1999 by the Vestry. The concept is that contributions to the fund would be held in perpetuity and the interest generated each year would be distributed to projects in the parish and to ministry outreach projects in the community, nationally, and internationally. The fund investments are handled through the Diocese of Fredericton Investment Committee.

Applications to the fund fall under four broad categories:

(1) In support of building, renovations, restorations, or repairs of St. Paul's.

(2) In support of the spiritual growth of members of the parish family.

(3) In aid of families in need or to support worthy outreach projects in the greater Saint John area

(4) In support of national or international relief efforts.

Funds are distributed equally across these four categories.

Each year, we are pleased to be able to support work both within and outside of our parish. Here are just a few examples of initiatives supported by the Endowment Fund:

• Diocesan Choir School

• Inner City Youth Ministry Summer Camp

• St. Paul's Refugee Sponsorship Program

• Sigowet School in Kenya

• Pennies and Sparrows (Central Saint John Community Ministry)

• St. Paul's Lessons & Carols

We count on the generosity of our parishioners to support our work. You can think of giving to the fund as a means of supporting the ministry of our parish into the future on a long-term basis. The Endowment Fund gratefully accepts gifts of all sizes and types. For example:

• Simply putting an envelope in the collection plate marked "St. Paul's Endowment Fund"

• By email transfer

• Making gifts in memory of loved ones

• By remembering the fund in your will

• By designating the fund as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy

• By making an in-kind gift of shares of companies

If you or your organization would like to apply for funding through St. Paul's Endowment Fund, please fill out the form below and submit it to the Parish Office. The deadline for submissions is November 1st each year. Pay close attention to the funding categories to determine whether or not your organization would be eligible. Preference is given to projects rather than general expenses.
